OVERRIDE - WHY YES?

• Override pays for expenses such as utilities, supplies, salary/benefits and expenses not of a capital nature

• Authorization does not create a new tax, it maintains previously approved funding

• The Override now funds School Aides, Counseling, as well as Remedial, Elective & Advanced classes, Full day kindergarten, Athletics, Phys-Ed, Extra-curricular Activities & Fine Arts

• The Override is a continuation that will not increase your property tax rate.

• If override is not approved, property taxes will not decrease; the additional funding to school district decreases each year, until eliminated
