MARANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NEEDS YOUR HELP to vote “YES” on Prop-411 budget override measure that is on the election ballot this fall. Prop-411 will maintain and slightly increase the current Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Override, which supports our students and enhances the quality of education in our community by maintaining smaller class sizes and offering competitive salary and wages.

CURRENT OVERRIDE

Full Day Kindergarten: Ensuring our youngest students have a strong start.
Instructional Aides: Providing additional support in classrooms to enhance learning.
Counselors: Offering essential guidance and support to students.
Extracurricular Activities: Enriching student experiences beyond the classroom.
Co-Curricular Activities: Integrating valuable learning opportunities with academic curriculum.
Fine Arts and Electives: Encouraging creativity and exploration in various subjects

PROPOSED INCREASE
Prop-411 aims to increase the M&O Override from 10% to 15%. This increase will bring an additional $5 million to MUSD, which will be used for:
- Maintaining Class Size: Keeping low student-to-teacher ratios for more personalized attention and better educational outcomes.
- Teacher and Support Staff Pay: Enhancing salaries to attract and retain high-quality educators, ensuring MUSD remains competitive with other area school districts.
